While we're planning to have the wedding on Saturday, June 15, 2024, we are also planning a snorkeling trip on Thursday (6/13) and a dinner on Friday (6/14). Registry
Thank you so much for being part of our wedding; your presence is truly the gift, and we're glad to have you celebrating with us. Please do not feel the need to get us anything!
That said, for those who may wish to contribute further, we've put together a registry wish-list. Jacquelyn is involved with a non-profit theater in Seattle, called Jet City Theater, which is a great cause, and permanently under-funded. And, we have a honeymoon fund for our eventual honeymoon. And for anyone who would like to buy us something more tangible, we have a few items below.
With Love,
JAZ and Cam
Travel
Getting In
Puerto Vallarta has a large international airport (PVR) that is only an hour away from Sayulita. It has direct flights to Austin, Atlanta, and Seattle.
It's an international trip! You'll need a passport & will need to go through customs on both ends, for US citizens, you don't need a tourist visa. Leave space in your bag to bring home mezcal.
Puerto Vallarta to Sayulita
From the airport, it's about an hour to Sayulita, and there’s a number of options to get to the hotel. Ubers can get you to Sayulita, but they don’t pick up out of Sayulita due to local laws.
Recommendation: if you get in during the day, Ubers & buses are should be readily available, with taxis as a backup (but you’ll need pesos!). If you’re getting in late, let us know & we’ll coordinate booking a party car. On the way back, we’ll rely on taxis & private cars.
Extra details:
There will be taxis at the airport, and buses + cheaper taxis + Ubers will be across a pedestrian bridge. Exit the airport and look left & you’ll see it.
Buses:
Buses run every 20 minutes from 6 AM to 10 PM. The ride will be approximately 50 pesos (~$3). The bus terminal is outside of the airport and a short jaunt on a pedestrian bridge across a highway — who’s up for adventure?
Ubers:
Ubers are complicated; short answer, you’ll *probably* be able to take an Uber from the airport to Sayulita, but likely not from Sayulita to the airport. However, Ubers are significantly cheaper than taxis at ~$45
Taxis:
Taxis from the airport may cost $100 or more (2000 pesos) to get to Sayulita, though if you exit the airport and take the pedestrian bridge across the highway & you have sufficient Spanish skills, you may be able to get it for half (600 pesos for the skilled). Remember to have pesos!
Private car:
Our hotel also provides transportation for $160 roundtrip for up to 6 people, plus it comes with tequila and beer! You can also get one-way service for $70 from the hotel to the airport. Let us know & we’ll coordinate
The Hotel & Venue: Amor Boutique Hotel
This is the hotel where we have a block of rooms available for renting, and where we're hosting the wedding! Explore the area & you'll find other hotels and options, all a golf cart's drive away.
Getting around in Sayulita
Unless you're planning on exploring outside of Sayulita, you don't need a rental car! Sayulita is a small town and most places will be in walking distance. However, there are some steep hills, and if you want to cruise around, there are golf carts available for rent all over! They’re roughly $50 USD / day, no matter where you go. If you have an Airbnb your host might have the hookup.
